India's Mission : Matsya 6000

I'm excited to share about our southern side innovation named Matsya 6000. This is a deep ocean mission which can carry three scientists (aquanauts) into 6000 meter deep sea to explore our Indian Oceans and to find out the mysteries hidden under the ocean. My UPSC current affairs teacher taught me about the importance of Matsya 6000 after teaching about wars , sufferings, machine names and chemical names. Actually this is not very new news but the way my teacher share about it in yesterday's online class created interest in me and urged me to share this with you. You may already know about it but let me share what I know about Matsya 6000. Let's get back to Matsya 6000. 70% of the globe is covered by ocean and 95% of ocean remains mysterious for us. So National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) invented Matsya 6000 to explore sea. NIOT is planning to launch Matsya 6000 at the end of 2026 for that maiden wet test was conducted near Chennai at February 2025 and NIOT is planning to conduct 500 meter shallow water trial towards the end of 2025. And final launch will happen at the end of 2026. This is designed to explore new species under sea , this will be helpful in monitoring temperature too. NIOT is planning to launch Matsya 6000 in Bay of Bengal to explore Bay of Bengal. Even at 2meter deep we'll feel lots of pressure but Matsya is traveling to 6000 meter deep sea with 3 person. So according to AI the pressure will be 600 times higher. To reduce this Matsya 6000 was made up of Titanium Alloy Pressure Hull which protects human from high pressure under deep sea also this is light weighted and corrosion resistant. And Oxygen cylinder attached with Matsya will help the aquanauts to breath Also exhaled CO2 will be removed by chemical scrubbers like Lithium hydroxide canisters and soda lime. So this is the function and structure of Matsya 6000. India is not the first nation to explore the deepest part of ocean but India is the 5th country to launch a deep sea Mission. And this is the first time India is going to explore the deepest part of Bay of Bengal. So these are the few points I've collected about Matsya 6000.
